CyclingScoop is a blog by cycling fans, for cycling fans.
A little over a year ago, we started this blog with the simple mission of writing about cycling and the professional sport in a way that’s accessible to everyone. Whether you’re new to riding, just getting into pro racing, already in love, or simply curious about some aspect or another of cycling, we welcome you!
Cyclists and cycling fans, want to know what you can read about here? Some of our favorite topics for beginners or amateur riders include training, nutrition, guides for first-time or beginner cyclists, ways you can enjoy the beauty of cycling every day, and much more!
For pro racing, we want to break the mold. Pages of stats (or calculating watts per kilo) aren’t really our style! Instead, we share news, guides, and analysis that bring you into the loop on what’s going on in the peloton whether you’re newer to cycling or have been enjoying it for many years. We aim to highlight your favorite races and riders with Perspectives, or opinion pieces from new voices, along with in-depth stories and guides, too.
No matter what you love about cycling, we hope you can find a little or a lot of it at CyclingScoop!
Doing our part to build community between cycling fans everywhere.
We don’t exist in a silo. All across the internet and social media, we see fans of cycling enjoying the sport, reaching out, and speaking up. In this spirit, we want to help guide all our readers towards everything the cycling fan community has to offer.
We love showing you our favorite Substacks, recommending YouTube videos and cycling books, or sharing must-follow fellow bloggers or accounts on social media. Even if this is your very first day as a cycling fan, we want to help you feel like an insider.
We believe in building a cycling community that advocates for the well-being and safety of all cyclists and uplifts underrepresented voices. CyclingScoop aims to spotlight businesses and individuals who make cycling a more welcoming, diverse sport.
However you found us, thank you so much for visiting CyclingScoop today! We hope you’ll visit again to enjoy more cycling news and content in the future.

★ Mike
I am an aspiring writer on cycling, exercise and longevity based in the UK. I am a competitive rider and runner currently focussed on ultra-distance races, time trials and duathlons. My particular interest is on the huge benefits of all types of exercise on longevity, specifically, living happy and well for longer. I also write under the name Cycle Scribe on Substack.
